REMOTE TRAVEL AGENT TRAINING
When you start your journey as a travel agent you will be assigned a mentor, who is one of our leaders or senior travel agents. This mentor will be there to answer all of your questions, and they will be guiding you through the training process. As you advance through the training program we recommend you take advantage of your mentor and schedule 1-1 training time with them. To grow your support system, you can opt in to participate in our accountability partner program, where you will be matched with another travel agent.
Before you can sell travel you must complete a certification training course that covers the basics of working as a travel agent. After you have conquered the basics you will start on our in-depth training program. This training program has been developed by many successful travel agents who have been in your shoes. These senior travel agents created this program to share what has made them successful with you.
Our training program comprises three steps of recorded videos that will teach you the ropes of being a travel agent. Some of the topics that are taught include marketing yourself, technologies that you will use on the job, creating quotes and booking travel, working with clients, and how to use many of our vendors and suppliers. Once you complete the three step program we believe you are well prepared to start selling travel.
But the training doesn’t stop there. We have daily live training for you to attend on your schedule to continue your education and to stay up to date with the travel industry. Don’t worry if the live training you want to attend doesn’t work with your schedule; most of our live training sessions are recorded for you to watch on your own time. While attending live training is not required it is a great opportunity to ask questions of our senior travel agents and get answers in real time.

-
What vendors and suppliers do you work with?We work with over 100 of the biggest vendors and suppliers, including many household travel brands such as major hotels and resorts, airlines, rental car agencies, cruise lines, guided tour companies, and popular theme parks. Some of our vendors include Expedia, Carnival Cruise Lines, Hilton, United, American Airlines, Hertz, and many more.
VENDOR TRAINING
Many of our vendors and destinations provide specialist training to our travel agents. These training programs are developed by the vendors and destinations to provide you with an education on their product so that you are more informed to sell them. For example, you can become a specialist with Hawaii, destination weddings, Hilton, Carnival Cruise Lines, Sandals, and many more. These specialist trainings take anywhere from 1 hour to several days to complete and they consist of articles to read, training videos to watch, and quizzes to complete. After completion of a specialist training program you will receive a certification with the vendor or destination stating that you are a certified specialist with them.
There are many benefits to becoming a certified specialist with a vendor or destination. Completing these training programs educates you on the vendor or destination so that you know more about it, you know how to sell it, and you are better prepared to answer client questions. Another reason to become a certified specialist is that many vendors offer benefits to travel agents who are specialists including things such as access to travel agent rates, additional commission on sales with that vendor, access to rewards programs, and even free travel! Completing a specialist certification can take your travel agent perks to the next level!
